I need a lawyer to appeap for me.

Try resolute legal-there are some sharks in the legal world and from his site and free information you know you will be treated fairly. It’s hard, you will get through this. A lawyer would be helpful.

I am sorry . I have heard the denial rate is over 60percent. We are waiting for a call or a lettter too. Probably the same.we are expecting a denial.

Don’t lose hope. Many CPP cases get approved after an initial denial, if you handle the appeals properly. Please request a free copy of our CPP Disability Appeal Blueprint Guide - this will show you how to use Resolute Legal’s system for doing you own appeal. Also, we did an infographic to show the CPP-D approval rates: CPP-D Approval Rates for 2015-16

Did you appeal the cpp-d decision

Hey guys,
Here’s the situation… I am not two weeks almost three weeks past the four months application timeline. Two weeks ago I call and the lady at the 1800 number told me some sort of decision had been made but she could not see that a letter had been sent out, which she normally sees. She told me I should expect it really soon. I check my my service account a few days later and it still said ā€œin progressā€. I went into the nearest service Canada office a few days later and the woman opened my file and looked through things and checked with another worker who can access more info. She came back and said she had to just double check but she could tell my application was approved because it was now in the finance department. Another week goes by and my service Canada account has still not changed. We are now two weeks past the time the first person told me some sort of decision was made. I call the 1800 number and this woman tells me there still has been no decision and she’s not sure how anyone would have been able to tell there was!
I’m so tired of having so many different responses what am I supposed to think?? Anyone else encounter this? Any insight might be reassuring.

Our family is really struggling financially and I am looking for the light at the end of the tunnel which is so hard when people keep saying different thingsšŸ˜ž

I would phone again and talk to someone else.
My impression was that different people give out more or less information.

Thanks for the responsešŸ™‚ Calling is getting stressful as usually the person I get ahold of is not helpful and not very nice. Only one person I spoke to during this process has been kind and informative and then the person I saw at service Canada in person was great. Do you know how long it stays in the financing department before they give you your approval letter?
This discussion forum is helping me to feel not so alone in this processā¤ļø

My husband was called by the finance department as they needed clarification if he had taken off time from work for childcare. They said a decision had not been finalized but everything looked good. Two weeks later he received the call that he had been approved. Three weeks later the funds were deposited.

This was processed out of the Winnipeg Office. I believe that Ontario has the longest wait times.

I phoned after 4 months and was told a decision was made. I remember phoning twice because the first person was useless. I don’t remember how many days after the first I phoned again.
I got the letter a week later (I live in Ottawa so the mail is probably fast) and then 2 weeks after that I got my first pay (that was after the standard pay day at the end of the month).
Best of luck.

Your best bet is to call CPPD and ask to have Medical Adjudicator who has your file to give you a call back regarding your case. They have 5 business days to call you back and they will call you, most likely next day

It’s me again😳
So it’s been since Jan 18th since a decision has been made. I have received no letter and that’s confusing to the people I get ahold of on the other end of the phone. I have now been told by 4 people that my application was moved onto processing to be released. Two of those people said that means that the funds are waiting to be processed and released(meaning approval). Another said it means nothing other than that they haven’t finished up and is not indicative of approval. The other said it was in financing and that it only goes there when it’s approved. I have no clue who to believe and I’m hoping someone out there has heard something similar and could share your experience. The woman put a note on my file as a reminder to process my file.

I asked this but they told me my file was on a desk for processing.

That doesn’t sound reliable given everything else they was contradictory.

Is it possible for you to go to a Service Canada office again?
Tell them when you applied and each time you called and what you were told.

Yes I can and will go back in. Just wondering anyone has been told similar things. It’s stressing me out!

Try going back into your Service Canada account. Under Canada Pension, application status, it might still say ā€œin progressā€, however, check these two other sections and if they contain information, then this is evidence of very good progress on your application.

Canada Pension, Payment Information - Is there an amount in the box or does it say something like unavailable? The note below the box says something like ā€œIf this is the first month, your payment amount may not be updated on the system yet.ā€

Canada Pension, Direct Depost - does the direct deposit banking information you provided with your CPP Disability application show up in this section?

I hope you have good news to report soon. We are all thinking about you!

Bless you JoannešŸ˜‡
So I went in and checked. It says processing and in the payment area it says unavailable. My direct deposit info is inputted in that section. Is that good news?
