⏳Your Experiences?

Is anyone at the General Division appeal stage appealing Service Canada’s decision for your CPPD benefits?
I like to come on here when I’m feeling really frazzled, that cooped up feeling & rarely leave the house, no one really to talk, most people are to busy with their own stresses in life it doesn’t make sense to use the energy when no one listens.
I don’t want to search anymore but maybe someone could enlighten me.

I’m curious to know what you have experienced so far.
How long have you been fighting for your benefits?
Why did you get denied?

Just curious

Thanks  :butterfly:

Hi, I can give my 2 cents as a pesron who represents many people appealing to the Social Security Tribunal. Most cases I am involved with will get to a decision within a 12-15 months of filing the notice of appeal. It can be soon or later depending on the circumstances. Most people get denied for the same general reason stated by Service Canada – that the medical evidence doesn’t support that you are unable to regularly work in any gainful occupation. However, soon after filing the Notice of Appeal you sould receive the complete file from Service Canada. You can review their file to get more detail on why the denied your claim. You will have access to their internal notes and records. Best of Luck!
