I just wanted to tell everyone here that I found out the other day Telus offers $9.99 internet (25mbps / unlimited data) for people who are on provincial or federal disability. To qualify you need to have one of the following:
BC Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction Confirmation of Assistance statement OR Release of Personal Information
Alberta AISH Monthly Assistance Statement
CRA Statement of Canada Pension Plan Benefit T4A(P)
Unfortunately people solely on LTD do not meet the requirements but if you have CPP-D then you do.
I was paying $65 a month for this same internet!!! That saves me $55 a month. I couldn’t believe it.
I just called Telus for the internet discount and asked about any discounts for mobility and there is also a $20.00 discount. I had to call 1-866-558-2273 for mobility and she took the same code I got for the internet. Thanks so much for this information, it’s super helpful.
