Koodo provides a significant discount (25%) for those that are disabled. I contacted them last month, told them I’m disabled, that I’m getting CPP-D benefits, and that I want to participate in their Accessibility Program.
I believe that since Koodo is Telus that you can call Telus and request the same. Partial screen shot of this months mobile bill attached.
I recently got a disability discount with Koodo as well. I called them and told them I’m receiving government disability. I was put on hold while the customer service rep got approval from the department that handles the accessibility discounts, and 5 mins later was approved without having to submit any proof. I was offered a better plan than I already had as well, so I now have 5G 40GB Nationwide (up to 250Mbps) for $45.00 with a $11.25 discount (25%) , and also $10 discount for pre-authorized payments. So next month the total should be $23.75.
I know Koodo has plans that are even cheaper ($35-40) as my husband has one, but it comes with a lot less data (not sure how much).
The only thing I regret is not having asked for this discount sooner!!
Hope this helps someone.
