Hello All,
Wondering if anyone has heard anything or rec’d confirmation about being qualified and receiving your payments? Is there some place we can view the status?
I rec’d a call today but did’nt get to call them back before closing. Went on my Service Canada account and no info…
So far it looks like we’re being stonewalled. I applied on Jun 20 after getting a letter with their “secret code” which was supposed to speed up the application. I haven’t received any letter or communication from them since.
They haven’t even updated the Service Canada website with anything about the CDB. But, according to their prior promises, they’re supposed to process the applications by July 19. There’s a CDB website that provides the payment dates for the coming months.
Looks like nobody’s getting the CDB until August at the earliest. But at least it will be a retroactive payment for June, July and August - or so they say.
Same here, I got the letter and code, applied before the deadline for July 17 deposit, and not a word, no email confirmation, nothing! I’m just hoping for $200 deposit in my account lol. And then hoping my LTD insurance doesn’t scale back my benefits by the same amount when I do my annual form lol
I meant the “my account” Service Canada website you log in to. I should have been more clear.
Assuming you have a login and use it for things like checking your CPP Disability account status
It still hasn’t been updated with CDB information, I checked again this morning.
I already mentioned that they have a page with the payment dates.
On the CDB website they stated that any applications not approved before June 30 won’t get a payment in July.
Since they’re not updating the Service Canada account login website with CDB application status updates, I assume that we won’t know if we’re approved or when our first payment will be until we receive a letter in the mail.
If we don’t get a payment in July and/or our applications are approved after June 30, according to Service Canada the payments are retroactive back to June. Which means, for example, if we don’t get our first payment until mid August, it should include the amounts from June, July and August. But it’s still no fun having to wait.
When you fill out your annual LTD form, check your policy or call your insurance company first, to see if you have to include any non taxable benefits as income. If not, then you shouldn’t have to claim the CDB as income.
