Has anyone received a letter direct from Service Canada during a tribunal appeal?
Yes, this can happen. A common example is when Service Canada wants to offer you a settlement to approve your CPP disability claim. They have to do it this way because they can’t unilaterally approve a claim that is now before the tribunal.

The letter from Service Canada said they are reviewing my CPPD benefits requesting NOA between 2021-2022, and to fill out a self employment questionnaire. I think have 30 days from the letter date to submit it. Is it best to send to Tribunal and have them forward it to Service Canada?
Thanks
No, you don’t send things to the Tribunal unless you have an open appeal with them. It sounds like you are on an approved CPP disability claim, so if that is true, then you need to communicate directly with Service Canada. In my experience you wouldn’t get a letter like this from Sevice Canada if you had an open appeal with the Tribunal.
My appeal request with new evidence is complete and my appeal at tribunal general division is moving forward and I’ve been assigned a navigator.
This information was received from SC after reconsideration decision maintained its decision, at general division level.
Well that took an another year off my life trying to explain. Hahah
Hi, I am still not sure what is going on based on your comments. I would recommend you reach out to our support team if you have questions or want representation for your appeal.
Was just curious if this was common during an appeal at Tribunal. However since the time the question had been asked I have seen other forum members with a similar experience, it’s seems my question has been answered.
Thanks
