Has anyone received a letter direct from Service Canada during a tribunal appeal?

Yes, this can happen. A common example is when Service Canada wants to offer you a settlement to approve your CPP disability claim. They have to do it this way because they can’t unilaterally approve a claim that is now before the tribunal.

No, you don’t send things to the Tribunal unless you have an open appeal with them. It sounds like you are on an approved CPP disability claim, so if that is true, then you need to communicate directly with Service Canada. In my experience you wouldn’t get a letter like this from Sevice Canada if you had an open appeal with the Tribunal.

Hi, I am still not sure what is going on based on your comments. I would recommend you reach out to our support team if you have questions or want representation for your appeal.
