Hi I had applied for cpp disability May 26 2017, I received a letter late June saying my application was received and that I would receive a phone call in the coming weeks. Approximately the 3rd week in July I received my phone call saying my application was being sent off to medical adjudication and they asked if I had any questions etc… They told me I would hear back with a decision no later than September 26th 2017, as that was the noted deadline. I gave logged onto my service Canada site twice now and initially the payment amount said unknown(end of August), I checked back in today and it now says unavailable? Is there a difference between unknown and unavailable? This whole process has me completely stressed out, I have a medical condition called idiopathic intracranial hypertension and its NOT going to resolve itself and it is a deteriorating condition. I’ve done everything these doctors and specialists have told me too and still I suffer with these horrible symptoms and side effects everyday. I’m only 34 and I’m nervous after reading about all the denials of people under 50.
Mine also says “unavailable”.
It means they are processing your application.
I am also under 50 and I hope I don’t need to appeal.
I wish you luck.
I know it is hard but try not to worry.
