CPP Disability wait time - Your experience

I wonder though.
If you have spare money to invest, it can grow tax free.
Other people can contribute to it.

Yes but as far as I can tell the income is 100% included in income instead of getting the 50% capital gains inclusion rate so you may end up paying more taxes eventually, especially if you have other sources of income.

I can’t seem to find the answer/clarity anywhere either. What if you only withdraw the Basic Personal Amount + Disability amount ($22, 470 for year 2021)…from what I have read so far there is no tax withheld at source but let’s say this is on top of your CPP payments + LTDI payment then do these withdrawals push you into a higher income bracket?

Times are changed now 2024 you have judicators denying even when the doctors does everything Its no lie mass immigration’s benefits for them are interfering into Canadians benefit’s and very unfair worked all my life from age 15 and when I need it they deny it and for no good reason and its not the same as 2022 I do not know it was just me that got unlucky with judicator’s that seem to purposely deny it lying that they did not hear from the doctor and the doctor called seems so odd and puzzling I am very upset and have gone into poverty and am not in good state after what was done to me…Thi is my experience and hope none of you have to go through what happen to me …

Hello,
I applied Dec 2023.
My Ltd 2 years was Nov 25, 2024.
I heard nothing until August 2024 when I called for an update as well past 120 days.
I want to be clear here, I used all the tools resolute legal supplied me the 19 page form for CPPD ended up at 83 pages I followed the work book did a lot of reading and thank you Jammer your input in a lot of different topics was very helpful.
I recieved a call end of August asking if I was back to work, no I am not and was told I was approved back to January 2023. I had my accident in May 2022 , std was done in Dec 2022. Anyway.
It took til November to actually get a check they paid insurance directly which I now owe taxes on.
Use the free work book, I don’t think I could have been approved otherwise. I pulled my dr records for 2 years, my prescription history, all old and recent dr reports including psychiatrists, psychologist, physio, pain clinic dr, gp dr. And made sure every date was In Sync with my records it took me 6 weeks to put together. But I was approved and it took a long time.
I hope this helps some one.
Take care

@Taz25 thanks for sharing your experience. That’s good to know it could take that long.

For other people reading this:
On the canada.ca website, the wait time is still showing as 120 days, and that page was updated just 2 days ago. Not sure if it’s accurate though.
