Cpp disability approval I have notified private insurance

Do I have to send private insurance company approval letter from cpp? Cpp are sending them retroactive amount and dealing with that part. I did call private insurance and said I was approved. Cpp have already contacted them. Why do I have to send approval letter and do I have too? I am done with this insurance company in 4 weeks as I quit my job and just do not want to deal with them any longer

You’ve packed a lot in this question and I think you should get a free consultation with our firm or another firm. Just because you quit your job does not mean your right to LTD ends. I would advise against quitting your job until you seek legal advice as I am not sure what benefit you would get by quitting and it can cause all kinds of headaches for you can can cause you to lose rights to LTD and severance pay, etc.

The only reliable manner to obtain complete and adequate legal advice is to consult with a lawyer, fully explain your situation, and allow the lawyer enough time to research the applicable law and facts required to give an adequate opinion. Okay will do.

Can you advise though about the approval letter from cpp disability. Do I have to forward that to my private insurance? I have told them verbally and cpp are calling them (they did Monday) and will give them all they need. They will be getting retroactive money. I really do not want to deal with it and my letter is my letter. Am I obligated to send or not?

My advice to people is to always cooperate with requests like this take a photo of the letter and send that to them.

Your CPPD letter includes retroactive payment breakdown over the past few years. Not sure if your insurer received that information from Service Canada but they need it to calculate your past and future LTD payments.

Why did you decide to quit? How are you going to support yourself financially going forward?

I quit my job as they were not giving me my prior work arrangement which was 2 days a week from home. They pulled it and due to my distance and my medical condition I needed this to so this job again. I am 120 kil one way and now suffer with psoriatic arthritis. My mind wants to work my body does not. Insurance company are ended my claim as they feel I can now work and I was going to give it a shot. Honestly I have been at this company for 20 years so comfort level and have lots of vacation if I needed time off. It may not of worked out even with 2 days a week. My specialist dies not want me working.

Meanwhile i was notified Jan 31st they are ending my claim Feb 29th and also told me they need the letter when I get it stating approved or denied At the same time same day Cpp disability approved me for a call the same day. Cpp were willing to revoke the irrevocable agreement I signed as I said they were cutting me off. I did not do this. Wondered if I should off after all they were cutting me off anyway. Not sure the obligation there. I told cpp to please deal with it so they did. At least I was honest but not sure if I had too

Looks like you made a lot of decisions without even consulting a lawyer. If I were you I would’ve consulted a disability and an employment lawyer first before I resigned or signed any forms. I think there were so many things you could do to help your case but you just gave up. Twenty years of work in the same company. I think you deserve better.

You can still consult a lawyer. Please do. Usually their initial consult is free. And many lawyers work on a contingency basis. Call Resolute Legal if you don’t have anyone on your mind.

Thank you! When you are sick and trying to get better it is easy to give up. health is priority now. I had no idea how ruthless these private insurance companies could be.
