Service Canada’s website is an absolute mess. But I noticed a few weird things.
-
Sure - application status still isn’t working
-
I can no longer apply for CPP-D using the online portal. Over the last few months of waiting for Service Canada, I could still ‘click to apply’ online.
-
I now see a lump sum payment coming in February?
-
I now see my monthly CPP payable amount, and I can choose to have federal tax deducted or not.
No letter in the mail yet. Based on #3 and #4, do people who have been approved for CPP-D see this online?
This is good news! Congratulations

Sounds like you’re approved. I received a phone call from the medical adjudicator who approved me over the phone, then I received another phone call from the finance dept explaining my retroactive pay amount. I received 2 letters in the mail, the first one they sent out was the approval letter and the second one they sent was the notice for the retroactive amount, but the first letter got stuck in the mail for a month, while the second letter arrived in a few days. So I received the second letter before the first one they sent. My point being, that there seems to be issues with Canada Post. If you don’t hear from Service Canada or receive any letters in a week or so, I would call Service Canada to ask them to resend the letters.
Thanks! Yeah I was approved but in my case strangely not a single phone call. Not a single medical call. Nada. Just approved.
I guess my medical condition really has me forked over. Sometimes I forget how broken I am
