I am on LTD with my insurance and also have CPP. I am pursuing a treatment abroad which my insurance doesnt approve off. I am just gonna travel abroad without letting them know. Can CPP and Insurance company know if you travel abroad? Does CPP or CBSA share any sort of data on travel records?
As far as I know there aren’t any restrictions on where you travel or live while on CPP. That’s because you earned the benefit by paying your CPP premiums while working in Canada.
If it’s possible to continue your approved treatment while getting the alternative treatment I think that would be wise for both maintaining your eligibility for your other LTD and for maintaining your health.
