Are you allowed to leave the country when on LTD
My policy states that anything over 4 months needs to be approved in writing by the insurance company.
Each policy is different so phone your insurance company.
My policy says 6 months. So travelling is ok for the short term. If you are off to Disney World or a luxary vacation the optics may not be good. If you are on LTD and expect to return to work in the future then travel away. If you believe that you will be on LTD for years to come then travelling may come with a risk that if you can vacation-then you can work.
