Question about a resource for doctors

Hi there:

I am wondering if there is a resource for doctors who are completing forms to refer to, to help them provide the type and detail of information required to explain their patient’s situation in language that the CPP-D or other assessor can relate to. I have found such a guide for Alberta’s AISH program, and also for the Universal Benefit in the UK.

David, would there be anything suitable in the resources section of your main website?

If not, maybe another project!

There are resources for people with MS.

There’s lot’s of good articles:

At least for me, I wrote the application and my doctor just provided the medical documentation that supported what I said.

Funny you should ask, I am currently writing a Physician’s Guide to CPP Disability. This is aimed at educating doctors and dispelling common myths or wrong beliefs many doctors have about the CPP program and how to fill out the forms. It is due to be published by Aug 1, and there may be a less comprehensive blog article coming out before then.
