Permanent Long Term Disability Currently on CPPD and LTD 2 years

Hi everyone would like to ask a question in this group.

I have been on CPPD and Long Term Disability thru Manulife 2 years ltd and 1 year CPPD, I am considered Permanent Status now, I received a phone call yesterday and she asked a few questions if im on treatment which I am daiIy and if if i have any other sort of income all handled well. I am now considered annual phone calls only and a health form update in October 2027.

Is this what some of you have experienced as well ? health form updates, annual phone calls ? Is this the Protocol for those in the Permanent Category ?

On ltd with ML since 2019.

After CoD, year one - dr. completed form; year two - self completed form; repeat, until last year when I was asked to take a phone call.

I requested to complete the form again instead of phone call.

Thank you for your reply I appreciate it yes manulife did a phone call this year and then next year just forms I prefer forms as well

Also with ML about a decade in and sometimes a call sometimes a form and sometimes nothing, but unlike you both I prefer the call because then I don’t have to bother my doctor lol. I’ve never had them send a form for me only without asking my dr to fill a form.

ahhh I see where you are coming from, I don’t want to bother my dr either although he is great … and I had the phone call a few days ago and it was fine and they mentioned forms to fill out for next year by my dr. thank you for the reply…

My forms have slowed down a lot. I try to reduce the strain on my doctor by completing as much of the form as I can myself, marking questions I need help with with a post-it note, then book an appointment with my doctor to finish the form together.

thank you so much for the reply this helps me alot when next year rolls around I will do much of it myself and then get my Dr. to help and finish the form

Similar to @caro To assist my dr. I pre-fill the form and since very little has changed with my condition, she just needs to review and sign

I do the work for my dr.
