How does Insurance and CPP-D work together or not at all? Insurance decision is being appealed using a work representative and insurance joint committee at the suggestion of paralegal advice. Insurance decision was a year ago initially. I need an income to pay bills - it has gotten quite bad - and looking at CPP-D. Does this affect the insurance side of things?
A CPP-D payment is deducted from a LTD payment so the out-of-pocket amount for the insurance company will be less if you get CPP-D.
The requirements to get CPP-D are also stricter than to get LTD so it helps if you have to sue the insurer.
