CPP Disability Application While Working Limited Hours

Hello everyone,

I need some advice. My wife, who has a disability affecting her back, was working full-time but had to stop for three months. She then tried returning to work three days per week but couldn’t manage. Now, she’s working only one day per week, and even that is sometimes difficult. , and she’s earning from work about $500 per month.

She was on LTD for two years, and now the insurance company suggested she apply for CPP Disability benefits. Given her situation, can she still apply for CPP Disability while working this limited schedule?

Thanks for your help!

Sorry for the delay, but yes, a person who is capable of earning only $500 per month from work could be successful in a CPP Application. They will look at it carefully to determine if she has the capacity to work more hours and could deny on that basis.
