CPP-D medical info: have LTD insurer communicate the medical info or have my doctor complete the report?

Good for them but too bad for me, I was 49 so it would have made a huge difference for me.

Kind of depends on how long you worked before going off. For me it would lower my eventual CPP, I’m better off with the extra dropouts. For young guys it improves it.

Too much math and it is irrelevant, I get what I get. :slight_smile:

Yeah it’s good for the people who get taken out before they have earned much. Particularly relevant since the 18 to 22 year olds have a high injury rate.

Thanks Jammer and Caro. I thought I had seen a video about still getting CPP credits while on CPP-D but I couldn’t find it anymore. Around 70% would be good. At the end of the day, it will be better if I apply for CPP-D and see if I am approved rather than not applying and not working. So, I’ll focus on getting my application in and look into the details later. Thanks so much
