Completing CPP Child Rearing Provision?

Hi David,
I’m completing Application for CPP Disability benefits. I’m disbled from feb 01 2016 and now I’m under Long Term Disability under my benefits insurer.They want that I applay for CPP Disability…In application form SC ISP-1151 under question 9. I answered “yes”.I have son born June 07 1981 ,we came to Canada in may 1996(he was 15 years old at that time).Do I have to fill CPP Child Rearing Provision form witch they attached with Application for disability?

If you were out of the workforce as the primary caregiver for a child, you should always complete the child rearing provision as it may extend the time you can qualify for CPP disability benefits and may increase the amount of your CPP disability payment.
