Anyone get any money from an EDD Disability Insurance Claim?

I’ve been out of work for 14 days since finding out I got it from my girlfriends family. Trying to maybe figure out if I can avoid getting evicted this month from missing two weeks worth of pay. Any fellow working folk had any luck with this?

Hi Andrew sorry to hear that you are sick. Is EDD an American thing? This is a Canadian forum. In Canada people usually have either paid sick leave or use EI sickness leave for up to 15 weeks. If not then hopefully someone is familiar with it.

The EDD manages the Unemployment Insurance (UI) and State Disability Insurance (SDI) programs for the State of California. SDI includes Disability Insurance (DI), Paid Family Leave (PFL), and the Nonindustrial Disability Insurance (NDI) programs. NDI includes DI and Family Care Leave (FCL).
