I recently had my DTC application approved and I’ve since opened an RDSP account. I’m excited at the prospect of receiving the generous match, but I’m still new to all of this.
Since I was eligible for the DTC since 2018, I am trying to get caught up on RDSP contributions now. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the match? Do I need to fill out a form to apply for the grant? Any help would be appreciated as the bank employees are as green as I am.

The bank did all the paperwork. The income based part was a little disappointing because it’s based on your income two years earlier so you were probably still working… For me part of the government funds were deposited right away but the bank screwed up cashing the cheque from me for a month. It was about two months till the rest came in.
What part do you mean?
Are you talking about the RDSP?
I don’t remember an income part but it was a while ago.
I got a government grant and matching fund for what I contributed.
I put all my savings from the DTC into my RDSP. 
Yes, the matching part for the first and second year is based on the family’s income two years before you became disabled rather than your income while disabled.
