Psychiatrist Letter - CPPD

What are your thoughts?
Any good news from any similar situations?

During the long haul of this CPPD reconsideration stage waiting for a decision I’ve submitted everything I can to defend my case including past psychiatric clinic records, feeling alone all though my Dr. does support me it’s been tough wondering how my documents will be interpreted by the medical adjudicator.

My psychiatrist to my surprise after our first appointment Oct 3 after a 2 year wait said he wanted to support my CPPD case if there was still time to submit his clinical note and letter. I didn’t even ask or put focus on my income situation. He asked a few questions about how I was supporting myself and I simply said I’m waiting for a CPPD decision and going through the1st step, process of PWD. He wrote me 2 letters accordingly. This is the final piece of the puzzle and the best part was I didn’t even ask, he took it upon himself to do it.

“She remains with substantial functional limitations despite reasonable efforts to treat her underlying mental health conditions. She is expected to remain functionally impaired to the point of inability to manage competitive employment. Her condition is expected to last indefinitely regardless of any further treatment.
Assistance will be provided with documentation of disability in the future as needed.”

That seems like a very supportive letter towards your CPPD claim. I wish you all the best with your situation. <3

Thank you.. This forum has been very helpful even if the topic isn’t directly related it’s nice to know that people are supporting each other with encouraging words.

Fingers crossed that this letter will help get the approval. A letter like this from a psychiatrist is very good evidence.

Thank you @David_Brannen I will keep you posted. I got the PWD booklet & and my Psychiatrist filled it out the same day I dropped it off. All though PWD is not the main focus and is also a long wait hopefully CPPD decision will kick in before that.

Warm regards
