CPPD-Disability Assistance

Any advice?

I called Service Canada today to check if a decision had been made, CPPD reconsideration. Previously had been told I would hear something by August 26, 90 days with Medical adjudicator. Told to call back in 30 days.

The agent today told me the Medical adjudicator left a note suggesting to apply for the provincial level disability assistance while I wait. Has anyone done this? I did have the form filled out and submitted it online unfortunately. They mentioned this before so I had been on the fence about sharing personal information, I still have to submit the documents. That said they never said it was the medical adjudicator who left the message for me prior to today. Any insight? Good news? Bad news? Or just basic criteria to be followed?

I would guess it’s unrelated. CPPD processing is so badly delayed now that some people would literally starve waiting for their CPPD to start.

@Caro Thank you for all of you responses. Would you think it’s a good idea or bad idea to submit another document now? There is still an active medical document on my file and if they are saying call back in another 30 days I might still have the opportunity to explain “why” I can’t work. I believed that I did that but now I’m worried my explanation wasn’t focused where it should have been.
