Where is the Proof of Payment Report on the Service Canada website?
I believe it is actually available through the CRA “my account”.
HTH
Thanks that might be it.
CRA has a “Proof of Income” that is not available until Mon (system maintenance).
I don’t think that shows my CPP-D because I have “Proof of Payment” for previous years but it might be.
I can’t check much this weekend I guess.
Hi jammer
Sorry if I confused the two different “Proofs”. I was only able to access the CRA Proof of income; I’ll check tomorrow if the CPPD is included on the copies I have printed out.
If you are applying for credit, mortgage, etc… there is usually a requirement of proof for a minimum of two years…
Again, HTH
Your T4A(P) slip would have your CPPD income for prior years.
I just keep a copy for my copious records.
Hi Caro,
Yes, however if you are applying for credit, it is my understanding, that you will require two years of the CRA’s “Proof of Income” report for most lending institutions to approve credit.
HTH
I checked the CRA “Proof of Income” that I printed out for 2021 and it does include the CPP-D income, along with all other income sources and includes extensive info about other tax credits, etc…
HTH
Oops! Replied to my own reply by mistake… sorry!
When I redid my mortgage I provided the CPPD tax slips from the previously completed year plus the bank printout for the last 3 months showing that the CPPD was still being paid.
Hi again,
Perhaps it may depend on the lending institution…
I’ve been with my bank for over 40 years and they wanted the CRA “PoI” for two years to secure a line of credit… I’m fortunate to have excellent credit, own my home (with a reasonable mortgage), pay my bills on time, etc… and they still wanted two years proof from CRA…
I guess it could be family/gender-bias, too… big,corporate, patriarchal institutions…
Have enough irons in the fire, atm… so that’s that!
Thanks!
I found it , as I needed it for myself.
When you log in to Service Canada → CPP–>Payments Tab -->Payment Info (Click)–>Select desired year e.g 2023 then select payment date to get to details. So on that page at the very bottom of it you will locate highlighted link → Print an official proof of payment report and click on it. It will generate letter which is the Proof of payment report
Thanks, that’s it.
I’m going to write down your instructions (they’ll probably move it next year :-().
