Minimum qualifying contribution (contribution requirement)

Have a question about what is the minimum qualifying contribution amount (in a year) towards qualifying for CPP-D, particularly for people who are self-employed. Is there an exact dollar amount one needs to have contributed in a year in order to qualify? If so, I have not been able to find that number.

On your website (CPP Disability Minimum Qualifying Period Explained [+Video] - Resolute Legal Disability Lawyers) you write: “the minimum valid contribution to be eligible for CPP disability benefits is $5700 per year”. What does this mean exactly? Does “$5700” refer to the net income amount that would have equaled the minimum valid contribution amount?

Thank you.

I suspect the answer you want is $3500.

I hope these help.
