LTD, CPPD and now approved US Social Security Disability

Receiving LTD and CPPD and have just now been approved for US Social Security for years working in the States. Was wondering if anyone has experience with this scenario.
Assuming that I will have to claim this with my private LTD but looking for advice regarding currency exchange will factor in.

I wouldn’t be so quick to give them money.
I’m sure they’ll say they are entitled to it.

Shhhhhhhhhhh! How would they know? CRA does not communicate with private insurers.

This is actually a very rare scenario. Highly likely your LTD insurance policy would allow the offset, but Jammer is correct that you should have the investigated because may be so. Better to bring it up with the insurer because if they find out years later you could be in a financial mess if they come after you for back payments with interest etc.
