I was approved fo cpp disability, February 5th 2018
How long do I wait for a payment?
The tribunal deemed me disabled. December 23 2015, the date of my accident.
In my cpp tribunal letter, it states" according to section 69 of the cpp, payments start as of April 2016
How far back dose cpp Pay me ?

Today was a payment day.
That should be a normal monthly payment.
You should also receive a lump sum for the months Apr 2016 to now.
I would phone Service Canada.
The tribunal decisions don’t tell you went payments start, rather they only tell you the date of disability onset. Your payments to go back to four months after the date of disability onset. The only agency that will discuss payments is Service Canada. If you got a letter form Service Canada saying payments start in April 2016, then that would be true.
Once there is a tribunal decision, there is 90 days for either side to appeal. Sometimes Service Canada lets the 90 days run out and other times they will notify the Tribunal they don’t wish to appeal, and will process the claim sooner. It can take any where from 2 months from date of tribunal decision to up to 7 months to get a payment. Usually closer to 2-3 months.
