Case manager issues

I been off on LTD for two and a half years with post covid symptoms, My LTD insurer made me apply for CPP-D last February and got declined in March. Two case managers later, shes asking for my denial letter she wants to see why I got declined. Back then cppd made a decision that im eventually able to work. But a year later im still off and my doctor says its uknown when ill be able to work cause of my condtion. Any idea why my case manager is insisting to have the letter ? Also my doctor just gave them a medical update stating I can’t work.

I’m guessing they’re going to ask you to apply again. The CPPD criteria are severe and prolonged and now you are more prolonged.

That’s what it seems like.

The case manager is asking because it is highly lighly likely it is a workplace requirement for them to have the letter on file. They need proof that you applied to CPP disability and were denied. Under most group LTD policies the insurer and deduct CPP disability benefits a person is “entitled to receive.” A denial letter form CPP is the only way to show you are NOT entitled to receive the CPP disability benefits.
