VAC IRB + Sunlife LTD

I have been on LTD since March 2022 and Sunlife is currently paying me.

In January, I will be receiving Income Replacement Benefit from VAC.

On VAC, the IRB is “replacement for income that would have been earned should the Veteran not have had an injury or illness related to service.”

Sunlife is insuring my civilian employment salary.

Does the IRB offset the Sunlife monthly payable amount?

It depends on the wording of your policy.
Mine says something any income related to the same claim is an offset.

When you were a vet were you getting paid for that AND also for civilian work?
I’d ask the insurance company and it they say it is an offset then ask a lawyer:
