LTD Denial how long do you have to appeal and get a Lawyer

Hi I was cut off LTD back in April 2020, right when everything shut down, due to Covid, I couldnt get to see my Dr’s so doing the appeal was very difficult, they denied me first appealed and then second. I should have possibly went to see a Lawyer then but everything was shut down, I have a feeling that this was calculated on their part.I have been approved for CPPD but that barely pays anything. Is it too late to take my case to see a Lawyer?

I’m not 100% sure but you should have about 2 years from the denial of the second appeal.
Appeals rarely work so rather than appealing it is often advised to go directly to a lawyer.
You should definitely speak with a lawyer. The fact that you get CPPD strengthens your case as CPPD has harder qualifying standards than most LTD plans. Good luck

Pretty surprised to see them cut you off even though you have been approved for CPP-D. That takes guts. Usually the standard for CPP-D is much higher than LTD. Especially during covid. I would definitely appeal. Usually you have 2 years, at least I do. So you should be okay to appeal. Definitely do it! You will win!
