LTD approved YAY...how much / best practices to deal with any EI / AB Supports backpay?

I have been off work a few months short 1 yr and finally got my LTD approval. I was on EI for 6 months and unfortunately had to go to AB supports for 1 month. The insurance company paid backpay to January this year which overlapped EI by 3 months and 1 month of AB supports. I’m assuming I have to pay it all back. What is the best method / practices to resolve this quickly and with least amount of hassle?

Hi,

You would need to get written confirmation of the amount paid by LTD and the dates it covers in the past. You would then report it to Service Canada for your EI claim. They will let you know what amount needs to be repaid. I am not sure what you mean by AB support. But you would follow a similar process.
