Has anyone on permanent LTD claimed the CDB yet for their annual update form? It’s been nearly a year now, surely someone has declared it as income so just curious if they will claw back the amount or not?
Your master contract will state if they can claw it back or not. My contract specifically states CBD is not something they can offset. They know I’m getting CBD from the CPP-D approval letter I forwarded on to them, but they have never asked about it.
For most LTD contracts things like rental income, investment income, RRSP withdrawals, CBD, or any other type of passive income is not considered income.
