I have been through so many workers, I have received LTD for almost 3yrs now, my Doctor had to tell them to leave me alone at one point as the insurance company was essentially harassing me. I don’t understand why after 3 months of peace I am now being assigned yet another worker who seems oblivious to my needs (I’m not supposed to communicate via phone yet this new worker wants to speak to me on the phone)…she also is asking about my medical condition (which she is supposed to speak to my Doctor about)…I just want to be left alone to heal, but it seems this isn’t going to happen. I have heard of many people being left alone after the 2yr mark, but this doesn’t seem to be the case for me. Anyone else relate?
Sorry to hear this. I expect this relates to staff turnover in the insurance company. The claim representatives are entry level type jobs, so many of these people burn out and leave, or are promoted so it is common for turnover if you are on a claim for a long time.
When they will “leave you alone” is different in every case and depends on a number of factors. Including your age, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment plan, and the insurance company you are dealing with.
Hang in there. Most insurers will eventually move to longer periods between follow up.

I went through the same . Only correspond through email . It’s your choice not theirs . I did and continue to do so . They feel they can trip you up in some way by telephone and then claim they don’t record calls of you ask for a copy of previous conversations . They are corrupt ! I ended up filing a complaint with the Human Rights Commission . Get your doctor to sign off harassment that’s causing deterioration of your health and file a complaint against with the commission .
Hi, thank you for the response, I already have complained to the insurance board in particular in the past, which did nothing. Bit haven’t thought to go to the human rights people!
I will see how things go, I directed my worker to speak with my Doctor, so hopefully it will all settle down…I don’t want to ruffle any feathers at this point, but if I did decide to file a complaint with the human rights comission (not even sure what to properly address them as), what steps would I take?
