I am suffering severe depression including suicidal thoughts. My Insurance company has cut me off as of March 22 even though my doctor and physiologist have given information as to why they felt I could not be working at this time. Do I have a legal case for this in British Columbia?

You have the right to appeal this decision either internally with the insurance company. If that appeal is denied, then your next options will depend on the type of disability plan you have. You will either have to to do a lawsuit against the insurance company or you would have to continue the appeals via a process set out in a collective agreement (if you belong to a union, and there is no option for lawsuits). You would need to book a free confidential consultation with us so we could advise you on your options.
