Hello,
I am attempting to go back to work after 6 years of LTD. Its with a different employer from the one which i use to work for when disability happened. What are the specific questions i should be asking about recurrence clause. I am still afraid that injury might recur. My doc and physio has supported me to go to work. insurance confirmed that i have 6 months period for recurrence (with different employer to return to work for) after i start working. @David_Brannen would love to hear your thoughts on to what other questions i should be asking them. Thanks in advance

Ask what you will need to prove the disability is a recurrence.
What are the odds you would have a recurrence after 6 months?
i have a strong probability that it might happen again

There are two things I would add:
- Ask for a copy of the group benefits booklet so you can read the recurrence clause for yourself. Or as them to provide you with a copy of the clause.
- If you are planning a gradual return to work (starting at less than full time hours and working up to full time), then you should ask WHEN the 6 months clock starts - does it start immediately when you begin the GRTW or does it only start one you hit full time hours
