I am so fed up with Manulife. So, I am on LTD and am trying to survive. When I went on long term disability through Manulife to whom I paid into from my work. After so long they make you fill out for government disability pension. I was accepted. Then Manulife takes what the goverment gives you off of their payments to me. My company closed as I was on long term. MANULIFE TOOK MY SEVERANCE, WHAT INRECEIVED WAS TAX, BUT I HAD TO GIVE THEM BEFORE TAX. I HAD TO BORROW THE DIFFERENCE TO PAY MANULIFE OFF!!. Or they were to cut me off. Now with the new benefit CDB, I was accepted. Now I am reading that I have to claim this on Manulife . I was just sent a form for an update for Manulife, so now I have to claim what I got from CDB. So Manulife will deducted this . My question is, What is the sence of this payment of $200 if your on Manulife. You dont get anymore. I will be getting less from manulife, the goverment gives.me two hundred. So I wont be any future ahead. Top it all off i have a different policy with Manulife to help with medical and dental. Bulshit. Manulife and Sunlife shouldn’t be able to rip off people especially when.you pay into it. I know not makeing more than I would at work, but what is the sense of me for claiming the dam CDB just so insurance pays less. Goverment needs to do something.
I feel your pain. I also had to deal with the BS of Manulife! They are brutal. We pay into these plans thinking we will be taken care of if and when the need arises but then they treat you like a criminal and wear you down completely, making your health even worse!
Hi there: You know unfortunate things happen to people and your right they treat us like criminals. They don’t want you to get rich off of them. I have a question. I went off work first on short term disability, then into long term. Now, would manulife still have to pay for my medications from that policy? My company closed and we had to get bridged over to our own polices. The new policy cost me $272.00, a month. But, in reality I went off on long term with my old policy. I never ever thought of this till now. Sorry,. That would help alot if I could. Nice to meet you and talk.

There has to be a way to expose Manulife. If workers knew that crap they would have to put up with if they ever had the misfortune of becoming disabled maybe something would change.
I know right. They make you more stressed then ever, so terrible.
