Got my letter from Service Canada today.
I qualify for the CDB but I had too much income in 2024.
It was severance from being fired.
I disagree about $0 CDB, the estimate I did before was non-zero. 
I phoned them and income of $23000 gets the full benefit.
I didn’t find out what the max income is.
I should get something next July.
Does anyone know what the threshold is where you get $0 CDB?
I had a $200 deposit yesterday. No letter though. I’m happy!
Sunlife won’t answer me if they claw it back.
They want me to apply for it and then send them the response I get back from the government.
If I get anything then I’ll let them know.
I sent them the link to the program so I am suspicious.
Sunlife said “Please be advised that this benefit has no impact on your LTD (Long-Term Disability) benefits. This information is for your records.”.
I don’t get anything this year but I specifically asked if the benefit in the future would be an offset.
I don’t know if that is all cases.
I would say ask your own insurance company but it wouldn’t surprise me if a front line person says if is a clawback in some cases.
