# When does 2 year begin?

Is the change in definition 2 years from the start of LTD, not the start of a disability claim?

It’s likely 2 years after you were approved for LTD. That’s the way mine works.

Mine started when LTD started.

Or to put another way mine ended two years after LTD started.

Typically yes. It is rare to have a different time frame from a policy unless you actually shopped around for one.

It’s two years from the start of LTD. They should’ve sent you a letter stating that.
