Is there any benefit to obtaining WSIB over LTD?

I’m currently on LTD and was going to appeal my WSIB but if approved and after I pay back LTD I calculated that I would still owe the lawyer a significant amount. He said he wouldn’t put me in the hole with his fee and I’d get that in writing but even if I broke even is there something of benefit that I’m missing?

I regret not going down the WSIB route instead. It would have been a lot more work and stressful for sure, but I would be very, very, financially ahead… like thousands and thousands…but it is what it is and i’m happy to have LTD. But ya, try WSIB instead if you can, LTD as a backup.

Is there anyway to redo application?
