# EI sickness and cppd

Hey everyone, it has been a while and I am sure people do this.

Since it takes 4 months minimum to get a decisions a thought occurred to me if you qualify. While waiting for cppd and if you have enough hours for ei, you can apply for ei sickness as it gives only 15 weeks, this should help with finances until you are approved, any thoughts?

Yep, lot’s of people do that I think so go for it.  
I had LTD through work.

Yes, I was initially on EI before eventually going on LTD.

Yes, the EI Sickness and CPP Disability programs are intended to work together.

I did both too, Be careful filling out the EI report, just be honest.
