Buying/Selling Stocks:Shares while on LTD

Hello everyone,

During my LTD, I bought some stocks for long term but then had to sell it due to financial issues. I made some profit off of it.

My question is; Is this even legal to do while on LTD?
Do I need to report that earnings to Insurance company?

Can this activity disqualify me from LTD.

Yes, it’s legal unless you are doing it so much it becomes a job (like day trading). No, you don’t have to report it to anyone except the tax man. The LTD company is looking for income from work, not from investing.
