# Benefits transfer from wcb to Ltd

I hope someone have some general information to share in regards of benefits transfer from wcb to Ltd.
I’m currently receiving wcb benefits and I was eligible for LTD benefits as well. At COD my LTD claim was denied and I submitted an appeal. Now LTD requesting me to sign ASSIGNMENT OF WORKERS’ COMP BENEFIT
AGREEMENT to complete review of my appeal. LTD say if I dont sign they might make decision based on the available information and my appeal may close. It’s so hard to understand what they mean exactly in this agreement and I’m waiting for legal advisor to call me back, but it sounds like a temporary measure to prevent overpayment.
Any suggestions please?

Yes wait for a legal help. NEVER EVER sign a supplemental agreement from a LTD insurer without legal help, especially in this case.
Your insurer asking you to sign over WCB to them in order to review your appeal is deeply unethical.
The appeal review should have nothing to do with your WCB assignment to them. WCB assignment is governed by the the terms of an active LTD contract not “this crap” they are trying to pull.
