# Back to CPPD after starting work

What would happen if I were to go back to work after an approved CPPD? Let’s say I go back to work, then my health deteriorates in less than 2 years. Would that require some medical documents to get back on CPPD? Also, how do I change my username or delete my account and create a new one?

My understanding is that Service Canada gives you a return to work trial period of 3 mths while on CPPD. If you’re unable to work due to your health during this 3 mth period, you’re still in the system and you don’t have to reapply. Beyond that you may have to reapply.

If you go though the CPP disability vocational rehabilitation program, then if you have to go back off work again within 2 years your CPP benefits are automatically restarted without the need to re-apply. If you have to go off work after 2 years but before 5 years, they will do a fast track applicaiton.

I am sorry, Mr. Brannen; I wanted to say that if I feel I am able to do some kind of work with my previous employer, would that be the same as going through the CPP disability vocational rehabilitation program? Does that mean the two years of automatic reinstatement into CPPD still apply to me even though I was not subject to the CPP disability vocational rehabilitation program?

Yes, the CPP vocational rehabilitation program is for any employment or return to work.
